Eric Salant
devotes his practice to real
estate, including representing purchasers and sellers in residential and commercial
transactions; landlords and tenants in commercial and residential
leasing; and real estate developers in the preparation and
coordination of land use and development
applications.
Eric has extensive experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating
real estate documents and in land title review. He is skilled
in preparing and reviewing loan documents, and has
represented lending institutions and borrowers in residential, commercial and
construction financing transactions. Eric has also
represented cooperative and condominium association boards,
advising them on all aspects of their
day to day operations.
Eric has had a case review on the application
of the Business Judgement Rule to residential corporations published
in the New York Real Property Law Journal. He is currently working
on a column in Metes and Bounds on real estate websites for legal
practitioners.
Eric is a 1997 graduate of St. John’s University School of
Law, where he was Editor–in–Chief of the New York Real Property Law
Journal and a 1988 graduate of The State University of New York at
Albany, where he graduated magna cum laude with a B.S. in
Finance and Marketing.
