I have been working in the pro audio industry since 1975. Coming first from a 24 track studio environment in Baltimore, I found the excitement and pace of live audio engineering more to my liking.
I have worked successfully worldwide as the front of house mixing engineer on concert tours for diverse recording artists such as The Backstreet Boys, David Sanborn, Bette Midler, Janet Jackson, Ricky Martin, and David Bowie, as well as top Japanese artists such as Tomoyasu Hotei and Miki Imai. I've also been the chief sound system engineer on tours for Neil Young, Crosby Stills & Nash, Pink Floyd, The Cure, and others.
I've also mixed or have been the chief technical audio engineer for the sound system on many special events including; Hampton Jazz Festival (several years), Nashville "Fan Fair" Music Week (several years), Paul Simon HBO Special from Harare, Zimbabwe, Whitney Houston HBO special from Johannesburg, South Africa (technical assistance), David Bowie live special events (on air and post production mixing), President Clinton's first Inaugural Concert at the Lincoln Memorial (design & engineering), as well as speeches or live White House events for President Reagan, President Bush I, and President Clinton.
Lately, in addition to live engineering, I have been working as a part time live audio instructor at Sheffield Institute for the Recording Arts in Phoenix, MD and teach special live audio seminars at CAT Music College in Osaka, Japan.
