Passionate, veteran tenor Antonio Nagore continues his next quarter century of outstanding performances with revisits to past musical venues within the operatic world. In addition, he is preparing the next generation of America’s great operatic performers through his teaching efforts all along California’s northwest coast and the San Joaquin Valley.
Mr.
Nagore began his highly
successful 2007 - 2008 Season in Charlotte, North Carolina, with ever
impressive performances that reaffirms his status as one of the
America’s best
tenors.
At Opera Carolina in Giuseppe Verdi’s acclaimed operatic spectacular masterpiece Aida, he pursued the role of Radames with a manly bravery that has become his calling card. Along with Mr. Nagore in the role of the conflicted hero, he was joined by an incredible international cast: Susan Patterson as Aida; Elena Bocharova as Amneris; Gaëtan Laperrière as Amonasro; Myron Myers as Ramfis; and with Opera Carolina Music Director, James Meena in the pit.
According
to Classical Voice
of North Carolina, “His timbre was individual and pleasing with
ringing
highs and more than enough power to soar over the orchestra…His
gestures and
vocal coloration helped portray the conflicts between his private love
and his
duty to his state.” (Jan. 31, 2008)

Mr. Nagore’s next engagement for the 2007 -
2008 Season in was
in Tel Aviv, with a return to The Israeli Opera Tel Aviv-Jafo. After last season’s great success as the
title character in Les Contes d’Hoffmann,
this season, he took on one of his signature roles as Calaf in
the Nuria
Espert production of Turandot.
Performing, Mr. Nagore "As Calaf
Antonio Nagore delivered a great performance." (Globes,
March 8, 2008; translated from
Hebrew)
Calcalist
agrees, saying, "Antonio Nagore
performs in a way that after a little less than three hours you want to
listen
to him all over again." (March 11, 2008, translated from Hebrew)
Mr. Nagore finished the 2007 - 2008 Season in Annapolis, Maryland; he made an absolutely spectacular debut with the Annapolis Chamber Orchestra. In this debut he once again took on the role of Radames in a concert version of Giuseppe Verdi’s spectacular Aida. According to the Baltimore Sun, "Radames was sung by tenor Antonio Nagore, who reminded me of Jon Vickers in stature, rich timbre and near-Helden fortissimo qualities. Nagore is fearless - going to the brink to create great vocal excitement and brilliant high notes." (April 20, 2008)
Still always
committed to preserving the tradition of music and
preparing the next generation of musicians for their own fulfilling and
successful careers, Mr. Nagore is still engaged in a variety of
teaching
pursuits in and around California’s northern coast and the San Joaquin
Valley. He keeps a very active private
voice studio in his home in Antioch, California, where he has several
students
who are with the San Francisco Opera Chorus, as well as local, young
professional singer/actors from every music genre from Rock to
Classical.
He also is keeping a very active voice studio in Fresno, California
with many
talented local-area professionals and up-and-coming opera singer/actors.

concert
tour of an event entitled “Viva Verdi!”-
which will be touring all over the United States and Internationally. He will also appear in a “Tribute
to Mario Lanza” in Fresno, California’s Fresno Grand Opera
in a three tenor concert musical tribute to the great American tenor,
on the
anniversary of his birth. He will be
joined in this concert by two of the greatest tenors in the world,

and Gerard Powers.
