About us...
Since 1990, we have been the Kansas City's area source for HO and N scale model railroading needs. Carrying a large in-stock selection from all manufacturers, we can also special order any of your hobby needs. We also do back orders and take reservations of newly announced items.
We are 1/2 block north of the Union Pacific mainline (old Missouri Pacific River Subdivision) in downtown Buckner. We are about 30 minute drive east of downtown Kansas City. Click for a map to the store.
Store hours:
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday 10 am - 6 pm
Saturday 10 am - 4 pm
Closed Thursdays and Sundays.

January 31, 2009 - Important Notice
We have put our closing date on hold for now. My son is back from Afghanistan and I am feeling a lot better. Everyone keeps begging us to stay around. We are just going to play it by ear and make adjustments as needed to keep it afloat. We are dealing with a constant increase in shipping costs. I have received word that many of my long time customers have either lost there jobs, have had their hours cut back, or have had their wages cut or frozen. The hobby is first thing they have to cut back on.
We are going to keep the everyday items. We will cut back on decals as they hard to come by and there is not much demand anymore. The same is true for detail parts, but we will keep the Detail Associates and Detail West parts as they are still selling. Engines and most rolling stock will be cut to mostly special order only. The Athearn Blue Box kits we are still ordering as they produce them. Most manufactures have gone to pre-order on all items. We will post new releases to our web page as the information is received. You can also get on their newsletters to be kept posted as to what is coming out.
There is not much extra inventory out there anymore. Even with pre-orders, sometimes we are in a scramble to find them. Several of our distributors now have a policy that if they do not get 75-80% of a case pre-sold, they will not order it. Therefore is very important for us to get our order in on time. So if you want it, please let us as soon as possible so we can track it down.

We will ship anywhere in the United States via U.S. Postal Service Priority Mail. Missouri residents add 7.35% sales tax on any order.
We will ship International orders via the U.S. Postal Service. We accept only PayPal payments for International orders. For International orders, please include your telephone number as this is needed for customs.
