On Saturday morning I woke up in HOLBROOK Arizona and had breakfast at a Denny's across the street from the Days inn  hotel where I stayed. At 8:30 am I left Holbrook on I-40 east-bound. Before long I arrived at the New Mexico border where I stopped to take a photo. Then I entered the state for the first time ever. Then I drove past the city of GALLUP. I  arrived in ALBUQUERQUE at 1pm P.D.T. or 2 pm M.D.T. It was a short drive and I had time to kill before finding the hotel.
I had my car washed by a group of High School kids in the parking lot of a fast food hot-dog place. The weather was hot and sunny, about 95'F. I then drove across the street to the local Kinko's to send another e-mail update. I arrived at the Red Roof inn hotel at 4 pm. I took it easy for the rest of the day because on the following day (15th) I had a big plans to do lots of exploring in Colorado.
