Georges Adéagbo Georges Adéagbo makes compositions of found and bought objects, called 'installations' in the art jargon, which are thematically linked to the location he is invited to. Unlike most other works of contemporary art, they are not meant to be shown in a context different than they were planned for.

'Homage à Napoléon le Grand' in 'Le Jardin' at Villa Medici, Rome
'La rencontre de l'Afrique et du Japon' at the Toyota Municipal Museum of Art, related studies (some of the texts are translated into Japanese or French)
Georges prepares currently the installation
'Abraham l'ami de Dieu' for P.S.1 in New York, scheduled to be on view until March 30th 2001
'Le Socialisme Africain'. Okwui Enwezor asked Georges for a contribution for 'The Short Century' which opened at Villa Stuck in Munich on February 14th and will be on show until April 22nd before traveling to the second of four venues in Berlin, Martin Gropius Bau, to open May 17th 2001.

Villa Dieu seul sait Georges Adéagbo and Stephan Köhler decided in spring 1999 to acquire a piece of land on the coast of Benin to launch an artists in residence program center for intercultural research to continously operate in Western Africa. You will find an introduction of the project in English with translations into French and German at the bottom of the page.

 


Roman Opalka Roman Opalka paints the progression of time. He reveals insights about the difference between measured time versus experienced time through his single, lifelong work titled:

Kunstmuseum Bonn A description of the Millenium Passage, Opalka's most challenging attempt (New Year 1999-2000) to address the public to think about the relativity of time, serves as general introduction to get familiar with his concept.
     
jointadventures operates for about five years out of Japan, coordinating exhibition and publishing projects worldwide. On the following page, You will find some details about our way of working. Descriptions of previous and future projects will be added in the near future. Previous projects include the tour of the Collection of the 'Kunstmuseum Bonn' "August Macke and the Rhenish Expressionists" in Japan.
