Purchased new in 1970 by James L. Nelson, High Pockets has been raced around the buoy's, sailed over 50,000 offshore ocean miles and called home for many years of exciting live aboard cruising. Jim has painstakingly maintained her all these many years. High Pockets has never let the Nelsons down and is part of the family.

The Captain
Kathleen, a Registered Nurse, earned her sea legs aboard High Pockets beginning in 1986. She and husband Jim have sailed High Pockets over 30,00 0 offshore ocean miles, double handing from down east Maine, to down island West Indies. Live aboard cruisng was their way of life for many years. "What a great ride it's been!", says she.
Kathleen, Coast Guard licensed in 1992, holds a United States Coast Guard 100 Ton Master's License. She has worked with several separate charter boat companies in St. Thomas dating back to 1987.
An avid cook, Kathleen prepares her meals with careful attention to detail. Her love of entertaining and sailing have beckoned Kathleen to this wonderful way of life.
