Likely the first American-printed map of Alaska.   Malham's Naval Gazetteer, originally published in London, was reprinted in Boston in 1797 by Spotswood and Nancrede.  This map, from the first American edition of the Naval Gazetteer, was engraved by Callender.  The imprint centered below the bottom neat line reads: "Published Sepr 1796 by Spotswood and Nancrede Boston."    Wheat & Brun, Maps and Charts Published in America before 1800: 597.   [Item No. 2147.]   $300.00.
