NPMGH E-mail List-server

YOU CAN JOIN  "npmgh@yahoogroups.com",  the Galveston-Houston NPM Chapter's e-mail discussion group at YahooGroups.

WHAT IS AN E-MAIL DISCUSSION GROUP (LIST-SERVER)?  An e-mail discussion group (list-server) allows any member of the discussion group to send an e-mail that is automatically distributed to all members of the discussion group.  In this way, ongoing discussions can be something of a "24/7 party line" about topics from questions on how to handle ministry related problems, ...to what was sung by whom, when and where, ...almost anything.  npmgh@yahoogroups.com is a free, easy-to-use, email group set up for the sole use of our local Galveston-Houston NPM chapter members.

SO WHY WOULD I WANT TO SEND EVERYONE AN E-MAIL?  To share a ministry insight, announce a program, or pose a question for everyone's response, to all of our local chapter members, you simply send a single e-mail to "npmgh@yahoogroups.com" (after your e-mail address has been added to the list).  Your e-mail is automatically distrubuted to all subscribed to this list.  Likewise you may be receiving e-mails with a really interesting ongoing discussion, please feel free to jump right in and respond with your thoughts by writing a reply to any of the messages you have received.  When you reply to a message from “npmgh” your response will be likewise shared among all other members on this e-mail group.

HOW DO I BECOME SUBSCRIBED TO THE LIST?:  
Simply go to:  http://launch.groups.yahoo.com/group/npmgh/
You can either join the NPMGH e-mail group by itself (its free), or join both Yahoo (its also free) and the NPMGH e-mail group.  You fill out the information requested, then because the group is a "closed" group, your membership will need to be activated.  IMPORTANT:  When you register ALSO send an e-mail to Daryel Nance at  info@npmgh.org  so that he can go activate your request on Yahoo before your request expires.  (We used to be able to add members to the group, as a service to everyone; but now, Yahoo no longer offers that capability - each person has to sign themself up individually.  Also, if we left the membership open, all sorts of non-NPMGH entities would be joining to spam-adverstise everything imaginable).  If you have problems, just phone Daryel at 713-663-3539 (St. Vincent's Music Office).

Rules of the Road:  It is assumed that since we are all involved in Catholic Christian ministry, there will be no verbal attacks upon one another, nor e-mails malevolently directed at employers, employees, or the church.  Any such uncharitable postings are in poor taste, and will not be allowed to continue.  Though the subject matter is centrally the ministry of music in Catholic worship, a wide range of topics is also acceptable, subject to good judgment, appropriate humor, and the patience of the membership of the discussion group.

To unsubscribe to the discussion group, at any time, just send a blank e-mail through your e-mail account, to: npmgh-unsubscribe@yahoogroups.com
